The Tooth Fairy's First Visit

While I was out of town this weekend Lindsey lost her first tooth.  It had been loose for weeks and on Sunday it finally came out.  So Monday night after I returned home she put her tooth under her pillow and guess what!  The tooth fairy must have come by in the night while she was asleep because in the morning her tooth was gone and Lindsey had a shiny dollar coin.

You can't hardly see where she lost her tooth because the new one was already growing in behind it.  It's the tooth on the bottom middle left.

Birthday kazoo

I went to Fresno, CA over the weekend to help celebrate one of my good friend's mother's 80th birthday.  Laura and I were part of the "entertainment" with a kazoo duet of the Happy Birthday song. All I can say is we were a lot cheaper than a Mariachi band would have been.  It was so good to see some of my old friends again!

Carley's Beautiful Hair

A very nice lady did Carley's hair in the cutest little pigtails at the picnic we went to last Saturday.  She's African American and has 2 little girls of her own so she did Carley's hair much, much better and quicker than I'm able to do.  She gave me some great tips but I'll have to get in a lot more practice before I'm able to do half as good a job and probably still take 3 or 4 times as long.

Happy 4th!

Last weekend was a full one.  On Friday night we had the FCC campout, on Saturday we met friends for a picnic in the park, on Sunday we had a cookout at Oma's and shot off some fireworks and on Monday we rode on a firetruck in our town's Independence Day parade.  Whew, by Tuesday I couldn't wait to get back to work to get some rest.

FCC Campout

Friday night we joined our local FCC group (Families with Children from China) for a fun overnight campout in the mountains.  It was great to see some friends we hadn't seen in a while and meet some new friends.  Sam and Lindsey had a blast running and playing with their new best friends.
